In regards to the bowl season last year, no doubt Big 12 had a phenomenal series of bowl games despite the fact they were predicted to go 1-5. Probably better than any conference aside from ACC. You can't just ignore everything before bowl games though.
BTW Big Ten teams weren't favored in like any bowl games last year. Pretty tough matchups across the board.

Michigan really shooting themselves in the foot with those 2 pick 6's. And their first possession on offense should have been a TD and not a field goal. Amazing that they are losing this game right now.
