Sorry Changed from "Blue" to the Hexcode when fixing others in the DB..
Yeah I'm trying to make them softer.. And readable.. Lets see how that one looks
THANK YOU!! Did both. and just saw Hulky had a master list post.. Damn I might have to edeit/update that.
To be honest, everyone's color looks like shit.
Everyone's.
Nobody has a good color.
Nobody.
Everyone's sucks and we should go back to being gold.
just some rage and three kinds of yesvi veri veniversum vivus viciquit these pretentious things and just punch the clock
Don't know how the markup works for this forum, but with the usergroups on 4thfactor you could define any html markup for the name... What seems to be causing the most "glaring" issues with the colorful names is the semi-light grey background the names are written on... Maybe try and fiddle this css style in to create a black shadow around the name text, maybe it works and the results are better readable:
text-shadow: 0 0 3px #000000;
(creates a centered black shadow, blurred 3 pixels around the text)
Yeah the some colors are better than others for that.. Here I'm trying to avoid user groups for handling the color changes. Using replacement variables like on 4th when I missing around for April Fools and replaced a bunch of words with "and your mother" or "KAP smells" and replaced :volcom: for or :Bogart: for Things like that.
I wanted to avoid the text shadow.. Trying to remove on the phone version.. :tasklist: as it makes the world blurry. Maybe in this template.. it could help though.
I'm insert 4 lines of change code for 4/6 of the different ways/places Vb displays the names.
Stupid things like on posts its
a href= member.php?#-Name ---
on activity feed its
a class=username href= member.php?#-Name
on memberlist it's
a href= member.php?#-Name class=username
on the who's online it's
span class=member_username NAME span
No consistency....
I see... that makes everything a whole lot easier... yeah right!
... :bogart: by the way, hehe
EDIT: Oh, I just remembered that on 4thfactor I had a background color set for the name... If you wanna avoid the blurry shadow, maybe try setting some background-color: #000000 instead? Would most likely appear as a black clean rectangle behind the text...
