I'm sorry, I didn't know they'd changed the name to the Dallas Romos.

To that end, Aaron rodgers has played pretty well but ultimately done nothing in the playoffs (win one or one and done)every single year outside of 2010, when the The defense ranked fifth in yards allowed and finished second in least amount of points allowed (240, second best in team history), sacks (47), and interceptions (24).

I am not. He doesn't even need to approach top 5 all time to merit being starter when healthy

Btw I'm with you on Rodgers. He is overrated at this pt imo.

I'd take Romo over Alex Smith

If you take Romo's stats and divide them by games played, then multiply them by 16 to get an average full year stats:

    So Romo has 143 starts.
    239 yards 1.73 TDs 0.82 INT and a career 65.3 completion percentage
So an average 16 game season would be
    3824 yards 27 TDs 13 INT 65.3%

Now some other guys that start in the NFL's last year stats:
    Tom Brady: 4770 yards 36 TDs 7 INT 64.4%
    Carson Palmer: 4671 yards 35 TDs 11 INT 63.7%
    Eli Manning: 4432 yards 35 TDs 14 INT 62.6%
    Matt Stafford: 4262 yards 32 TDs 13 INT 67.2%
    Russell Wilson: 4024 yards 34 TDs 8 INT 68.1%
    Derek Carr: 3987 yards 32 TDs 13 INT 61.1%
    Jay Cutler: 3659 yards 21 TDs 11 INT 64.4%
    Andy Dalton: 3250 yards 25 TDs 7 INT 66.1%
    Alex Smith: 3486 yards 20 TDs 7 INT 65.3%
    Ryan Fitzpatrick: 3905 yards 31 TDs 15 INT 59.6%

    Tony Romo 3705 yards 34 TDs 9 INT 69.9%

Obviously Tony Romo is a top handful QB in the NFL when he was last healthy, but then put Dak's start over a 16 game and you get:
    3965 yards 13 TDs 0 INT 69.0%

If you put his rushing TDs as passing that number goes to 22. Cowboys would be good either way if Romo comes back or not, but when if Dak keeps winning the way he has been it's got to be a more difficult decision to bench him other than well Romo has been pretty damn good when healthy. Especially if Dak starts using Dez (when he's healthy). Moving on from Romo next year would free up 5 mil that year, and then something like 16 the next, and 20 the third year. Dak probably is the future of the Cowboys it's just if Romo get's a last shot at the playoffs or not to fight for 2017 I think.

Alex Smith will be available to play Sunday. Romo can't stay on the field anymore. That's the issue. His career stats and who he's better than historically and all the rest doesn't mean shit.

    Wait, Rodgers overrated?

Aside from Jordy Nelson, who has he really had to throw too? Jennings for a couple of years? Cobb?

He's made everyone of those receivers better. He's never had a Julio Jones, Dez, Megatron, or Witten and Gronk at TE. If he ever got a stud like them, it would be Brady/Moss all over again. Also doesn't help that McCarthys play calling is atrocious. He's worse than Jason Garrett.

Packers offense relies on timing and Rodgers pinpoint accuracy. They don't really have anybody except Jordy that can win one on one, especially in the red zone. You guys are on crack.

Also, Romo should start. Dak is safer, but Romo offers a higher ceiling currently. Teams still don't respect Dak as a thrower, they do with Romo. IF (key word) he's healthy, he should start. I also believe most of the Cowboys support Romo over Dak if it came to it and that's important.

Yeah it's pretty telling with Rodgers when he has the longest snap to throw time in the league. He always has to buy time for his receivers to get open

Rogers is on the downslide. That team is going to be god awful in a few years.

So are the Vikings and falcons legit?
