What happened to the Panthers? They look nothing like last year.
Cam Newton laid down in the Super Bowl. He was the MVP last year. They were 15-1. Dominant. They didn't just lose in the big game. Cam gave up, and after the game he pouted and acted like a baby. I think that had to rattle his team and their faith in him. He's playing poorly this year. He got Benjamin back, his #1 receiver, and his numbers are way worse.
Instead of crying in the media about not feeling safe, he should have used that as a way to pump up his team. He should have said the refs aren't going to protect us, so we have to do it ourselves. It could have been fuel to turn the season around. Instead it's just Cam crying again.
Also, they shouldn't have let Josh Norman go. Shutdown corners are hard to find.
Cam can turn it around and get his team back, but not this season. He's a great player and the Panthers are a great team, but this is a textbook hangover year.
Hopefully he doesn't turn it around this weekend either
their secondary is crappy as hell. with norman gone, they've got absolutely nobody left back there. it shows each and every week now
