let's get something cleared up: the nfl doesn't give a fuck if guys beat the shit out of their girlfriends. hell, goodell probably beats his wife. goodell was just fine with players getting concussions and CTE and offing themselves before it went public and there was backlash. goodell was just fine giving rice a slap on the wrist and not suspending brown at all (if i remember correctly)before their cases publicly blew up and there was backlash.

goodell doesn't give a FUCK about ANYTHING other than money and the nfl's public image. going after zeke was less about him [allegedly]beating the shit out of his girlfriend, and ALL about a marketing a PR plan. mantis is correct.

My wife has met him half a dozen times. My brother used to organize a CEO convention Goodell regularly attended and has spoken to him many times. Both say he's a very nice and personable man who people like to be around. That's absolutely not the case for everyone with money and power.

I think all the dumb little shit he does is part of HIS problem, not necessarily the problem the NFL has with him. As for beating the shit out of his girlfriend, it's already been proven that she was trying to make shit up and have her friend go along with it so she could get money. There's texts to prove that. Now I'm not saying that he's 100% innocent on the domestic abuse front. Maybe he did SOMETHING that he shouldn't have, but not to the extent that she's claiming.

Either way, it's the whole body of work that has me personally being fed up with Zeke. He needs to grow up and realize that he has the potential to be a great NFL running back for a long time and make a shit ton of money if he doesn't fuck up.
