Which day each week should I be checking my roster to make sure everything is good to go for the weekend? Wednesday? If I have a team playing Thursday does my entire roster lock in or just that player?

If your league settings are normal, players should only lock when their game starts. I know Yahoo can fuck this up somewhat tho

Players should lock only at their own game times then. A Thursday game wont lock your Sunday players in, a 1pm game wont lock your prime time guys in, etc.

You can check your league settings just in case though. For setting your lineup I would check on Weds/Thurs before the game, and then Sunday morning. Obviously you might have to be a bit more vigilant game to game if youre considering playing guys who are game time decisions.

So I ended up losing the first week because I had CJ Anderson in instead of Austin Hooper (8 vs 20 points, upsetting). This week I have a couple of choices on how to set my lineup and I think I have chosen the best one, minus changing up my roster. I would like some input from you guys though.

I included some of the options I have to grab from the Free Agent listing for the roles I can throw someone in for. I could also possibly pick up another kicker but Gano is doing fine and is expected to see play this week. Also the best defense I could grab other than the Texans would be the Bills, and I think the Raiders are better than both of those but a large margin.

I guess the question I have for everyone is should I put in West over Hyde, Anderson, or Cobb (Flex)? He saw a ton of play last week.

EDIT: I dropped Fiedorowicz because he may not come back till mid season due to injury.

Also if you do that s/s thing sort by % owned not points for. A lot of random worthless guys have a random TD or whatever week 1 and aren't worth owning, but good rosterable guys under perform week 1 and get rage cut.

I'd sort by %owned and basically cut Harris for whoever is most owned. Next cut is Carson Palmer who also isn't worth owning (like TAO is different because 20 teams, but 10-14 teams Palmer is cut worthy).

So my issue this week is that two (out of three, one being my flex) of my WRs are questionable, and my backup RB is also questionable.
I am unsure of what I need to do to guarantee my win this week. Possibly need to pick up two new WRs but I can only have three total on my roster at anytime so I would have to drop Landry & Cobb to replace them. I could trade in West (can only have two RBs total) and use the replacement as my flex, thus only getting rid of Landry or Cobb.

Please help - I have added as much information as I can.

WR 1 (Starter) - Jarvis Landry
Landry (knee) isn't practicing Wednesday, Jason Lieser of The Palm Beach Post reports

Even if West ends up playing Sunday against the Jaguars, Allen's role appears a bit more conducive to fantasy production, featuring a decent portion of the early-down work as well as the vast majority of passing-down snaps.

I was 100% wrong about Eddie Lacey. Well not 100% because I did pick up Chris Carson during our draft in case Lacey didn't work out, but I admit that was mostly in case of injury. I was wrong about him having new life in Seattle and new motivation in a run first offense. He doesn't even seem motivated to play anymore. Certainly not enough to win the job from hungry guys like Carson or Rawls.
Oh well. This time next year he'll probably be retired and 300 lbs.

Trading Luck doesn't have any implications other than Wentz's bye. Wentz has solidified himself as a top 5 QB right now for FF in our league it looks like. Luck has rode your bench due to injury the entire year. I'm offering to upgrade your RBs, especially with Hunt. Hunt+Wentz is just as good as Hunt+Rodgers which is what I had, which could help you win out. I'd be taking a significant hit on my team with losing the RB1 just to try and get Luck, who has NO return date. You don't even know if Luck returns for Wentz's bye. So it's not even "at the minimum" because you could be missing out on his bye regardless.

But yeah man don't bother trying to win out or anything in hopes of a playoff spot. No point in participating with 5 losses. Might as well just bench your team the rest of the year or something.
