What about the Jags having one of the best defensive units and the Rams having one of the best turnarounds in recent memory? Also the Saints have been great to watch.

AJ Green caught a 61 yard TD on a second half drive that ended up netting the Bengals only 3 points after it was called back. Gio Bernard was called for holding TJ Watt, and it was extremely minor. Like yeah technically he held him, but holding happens on every play - you really only expect it to be called when it's blatant. There was barely anything there.
I mean isn't that expected?
I didn't think Thielen was this good. I also didn't think their o-line would be this much better.
Honestly I think it's been a fine season with some good games. Not great football all around but it's not like it was like that last year either. Hell, last year's NFC Champion Falcons didn't really look like a powerhouse until they were actually in the playoffs.
I think the issue has been the storylines. It's hard to accept things like Vikings dominance without Bridgewater or Bradford or Cook. It's hard to look at the LA Rams lead by a terrible rookie Goff, that is a legit power house. It's hard to see the Eagles run away with the east while the super power rookie combo in Dallas has issues and NFC East superstars like Dez, Eli and Odell all struggle, get benched, or are out for the year. On the AFC the failures of the AFC West removed the story lines of potentially great Chiefs and Raiders and replaced with a trio of .500 Chargers, Chiefs, and Raiders. It's just yuck. The hype of AP in NOLA was a bust, but NOLA has the superstar duo of Ingram and Kamara. It's still pretty good football, it's just not the story lines we were fed going into the season. I think that failure of storylines has sunk a bunch of fantasy teams as well which has made it seem flukey.
Like look at our TAO league draft:
Aaron Rodgers - IR
David Johnson - IR
Le'Veon Bell - slower start than usual
Tom Brady
Antonio Brown
Julio Jones - slower start than usual
Devonta Freeman - Concussion issues
Drew Brees - very good, but the TD's have shifted to their RBs this year
Odell Beckham Jr. - IR
A.J. Green - Suspended for a fight during close playoff races, but good
LeSean McCoy - Bills retardation has limited him
Jordy Nelson - Rodgers on IR
Matt Ryan - something like 12th best QB after MVP year
Jay Ajayi - traded to Eagles and has had limited carries there
Melvin Gordon - TDs have made good games, but yards aren't there
Rob Gronkowski - Suspended for playoff game
Dalvin Cook - IR
Jordan Howard - Some really bust games and Cohen stole the show early on
Mike Evans - Suspended a game, I don't think he's had a 100 yard game.
Ezekiel Elliott - Suspension
A lot of the earlier round guys too have been pretty rough, and although unknowns or underrateds like the Vikings pair of WRs, Kamara, Alex Smith, Carson Wentz, Josh McCown, Watson pre IR, and Evan Engram have stepped up it's kinda an okay year at best in terms of the guys you root for have jerseys for that superstar class and the hyped teams have underwhelmed.
I think the storylines are fine. Just because they aren't what you were expecting doesn't make them not compelling.
Kamara is the most exciting young player in the NFL
The Vikings could get a home superbowl
Jaguars
NFC South is super competitive
LA Chargers could finally be putting it together
NFC East turned upside down again
I really don't see how the Rams storyline "isn't compelling" just because it's such a big turnaround. Doesn't make sense to me
it's that LA has no fans
doesn't bother me. i thought they would be the sleeper team from that division and its kinda cool to see it possibly coming true. i did predict the broncos correctly, so maybe i had a good beat on the afc west this year
Alvin kamara is only that good because of Ingram. And Elliott is still better. As are 3 or 4 other backs
You clearly don’t watch Kamara a lot. Guy is a stud. Isn’t as strong as Elliot, but is more agile and more dangerous catching the ball. Elliot might still be better, but it’s close.
I didn't say he was the best bdog, but the most exciting. He has rare stop/start acceleration and excellent balance.
It's kinda like Odell - he's extremely fun to watch but AB is still better.
[TERRELLOWENS]fack y'all, that's my rb[/TERRELLOWENS]
just wait for Saquon Barkley, holy shit lol
das goin 2 b evrybodies rb
zeke >
Another year without a super bowl in Philly I guess
Really sucks to be honest. I wanna see Watson and Wentz return healthy before we anoint them as the next batch of good QBs to carry the league though but it's really crippling for the NFL's image, especially this year with all the injuries, to really get people to continue to push and play for the NFL I think. I mean money talks tho.
Rodgers Brady Luck Stafford Rivers Wilson Ryan Big Been and Manning are all probably gonna be gone in the next 5 years. They younger guys hitting the top end of 5.
It's really only Carr, Wentz and Watson right now for the next batch.
Goff looks good, and I think Stafford, Rodgers, and Wilson have more than 5 years left. Maybe Luck as well.
But yeah the injury shit is bad. Did you see the Tom Savage thing? He was clearly concussed and might have had a mini seizure right in front of an official, who helped him get up but never forced him to go in the protocol. His coach sent him right back out after...
best game of the year. really impressed, especially with both quarterbacks.
keeping good hopes and vibes for wentz, not just for the Eagles, but the kid deserves it. Fact he played 4 more snaps and was walking around after the game bodes well IMO
carr? he's not good...
i see wentz, watson, whomever the giants draft, goff, cam, dak, trubisky(i think he's gonna be pretty good, he's having an under-the-radar improvement this year sorta like wentz), broncos will probably draft a qb high, mahomes is out there, garoppolo, heck even case keenum has looked really good. and bridgewater is back.
now a lot of those guys aren't ELITE, but neither are eli or ben or stafford or rivers. and i'm not even mentioning improving young talent like mariota and winston.
i think the qb position will be just fine.
confirmed ACL tear
this really grinds my mother fucking gears.
let's not forget though.. the last time the Eagles won the division, it was foles. I think he had like 25 TDs and 2 picks or something that year.
he can do it
his wife is pretty cute, so he may be able to get it done
Winston improving is funny. Mariota I think has already hit his ceiling. Carr is definitely good, maybe not super good but pretty good. Forgot about Dak too but he's showing he needs a strong run game. The era of backpack QBs is ded for sure ala Rodgers Brees Brady pfm
This article - so good.

All over the bulldogs? :(
Blah. What a sucky game so far.
What the fuck is this?
That onside kick is pretty much a perfect microcosm for the entire game. Absolutely shitty.
my mvp votes as of right now:
1. Russell Wilson
2. Antonio Brown
3. Tom Brady
Wilson IMO was already ahead of Brady, since he accounts for so much of his own offense. Leading rusher, accounted for all offensive TDs but 2, making magic happen behind a porous offensive line all year. Losing sorta hurts his candidacy but at the same time he's still the guy IMO. Honestly I might've voted for him over Wentz before the injury too, who had a lot more help from his O-Line, playmakers, and running game (and schedule).
Um, how the fuck is Wentz still not in your top 3?
They won the division with him..the rest of the games are almost meaningless. Still should be the MVP.
Makes me so sad.
Butch, im accounting for the fact that he is done and the aforementioned 3 guys will keep putting up numbers the rest of the year.
If he was healthy, I would have him at #2 behimd Wilson
for the record i've never seen a guy go back in the game after tearing his acl and still throw a touchdown. if that was a consideration he'd be my clear cut vote for MVP lol
i've seen a guy puncture his lungs then go win a game in overtime :P
Wentz > Romo
Please wentz hasn't even won a playoff game
