Calling it now, that will NEVER happen again
Man, you got a deal:
http://www.nflshop.com/catalog/produ...Service_Jersey
It's $160 on NFLshop.com and it's sold out. lolol
here we go, fuck the eagles!
Fuck anyone not rooting for the patriots to burn in hell.
get out of my country
eagles must have to take 5 showers a day with all the dirt on them all the time
Dez didn't catch it but that guy did?
LOL
Congrats bitch
Fuck u philly
Damn, that sack fumble was incredible. Very impressive game by Philly.
That call on the return was retarded
Both of the eagles touchdowns should have been incomplete tho
That was an amazing game. Doug Pederson balls of steel. Congrats to the Eagles on the win.
I just think it's ridiculous that the omnipotent creator of the universe keeps deciding the outcome of sporting events. I just feel like there are better uses of jis time.
Close enough.

Having 600+ yards of offense and still losing is pretty insane though.
That's some stuff.
Congrats Phillysoul and Butcher (and others?) on the win. Foles is going to be the most unique sports icon I can think of. Superbowl champion and MVP of the Eagles osle Championship, record 7 TD game and career back up. They better do a movie on him at some point.
Brady was MVP forreal tho
Nick foles has a super bowl mvp, Romo never made it to the championship game. Glad he wasn't calling the game so he didn't have to sit through that.
Fuck you Jason Garrett, fuck you Jerry Jones.
wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I'm gonna rant here because basically no one will read it anyway. No offense to those who remain. Lol :p
1. Philly played to win and had better execution overall. They definitely deserve to win.
2. I'm sick of people saying that the refs favor the Pats. Two questionable TDs for the Eagles, plus a blatant pass interference on the last play of the game, with Hogan getting leveled in the middle of the field. Shit happens... I get it. And I can see why the calls went that way. Not enough evidence to overturn and refs didn't want to throw a flag due to the ensuing shit storm that would commence if the Pats won. The Cooks play was (or should be) an illegal hit - see #3. And WTF is up with defenders pushing, wrapping up, and being overall douche bags to Danny Amendola after plays? No flags for those? Of course, all the Patriots past and future success is due to the refs regardless... Also sick of the "OMG PATS R CHEETOS!!!" posts, but that's a discussion for another day.
3. The NFL still doesn't give a shit about their players. The Cooks play should be an illegal hit - the "crown" of Jenkin's helmet definitely lead that tackle, right into Cook's head, sidelining him. He's not a defenseless player when he gets blindsided like that? Wut? The tackle could have easily been made without head contact there, and defenders should be held accountable on plays like that. Even after the game the NFL is standing by that it was a legal hit. Unbelievable to me. If on the field it isn't called, fine. But they should make a statement and change the rules to cover plays like that.
4. That said, Cooks tried to do too much. He's a young guy... athletic. Probably considers himself the top receiver on the team and made some stupid plays. On that play he should have just gone down. Also, on the first drive, he should have ran to the side line and dove for the first down. Its about the culmination of plays, not the one big play, that makes the Patriots successful. He's gotta learn that lesson.
5. BB may be the biggest reason for the loss. Malcolm Butler should have been in the game, regardless of potential illness or differing of opinion or whatever. He's arguably their best cover guy and the Pats D got torched all game long. Pride comes before the fall? Also, who's decision was it to switch up Gilmore's defensive scheme? He's covered the bigger, more athletic receivers all year long. Why the hell wasn't he on Jeffery from the beginning? Terrible decision.
6. And all of those missed tacklessssss... Matt Patricia... did you like forget to teach them how to tackle???? Also, that's what you get for letting go of Blount. Dude just ran through defenders on multiple plays. Definitely a beast and definitely deserved to keep his salary. I'm happy for him... He was one of my favorites on the Pats through the years.
7. Despite all of that, Brady had a chance to win it at the end. The Eagle's front line almost got to Brady all game, and eventually got home on that second to last drive. Great perseverance from that defensive line to foil one of the best performances I've ever seen. It was one of the top super bowl performances of all time, arguably outperforming Foles, just in a losing effort. People who argue that he isn't the GOAT are insane IMO.
8. I would feel bad for Brady. With his age, this may be one of his last chances and BB and/or the coaching staff may have lost him a ship. All it takes is an injury, and his career is over, plus the cliff is coming. Buuuuut he has 5 super bowls and a supermodel for a wife. Haters aint got nothin on him.
Agree with all of that.
Though I will add that the Eagles coaching and execution was awesome. Little things like the kickoff at the end...awesome job of keeping it out of the end zone forcing the Patriots to waste about 7 seconds and start from their own 9 versus the 25. Those 16 yards and 7 seconds would have been big for Pats.
The 4th down plays? One, I loved Pederson being aggressive, and even more so the play calling. This is stuff that you need to do against the Pats, and Pederson didn’t back down.
I do think the first controversial TD wasn’t a TD, but I think it was on second down so I wasn’t annoyed. Foles would have eventually led them to score the way the Pats defense was playing.
Speaking of Foles...what a game. The guy played as well as could be expected and more. Felt like the Pats focused more on being able to score against Philly and hoping Foles would make mistakes, which he never did. Even his interception wasn’t his fault. Carson Wentz is obviously the future, but if the Eagles never win a SuperBowl again, build that Foles a statue.
All in all great game. One of the best I’ve seen ever.
Yeah man. That’s basically what I saw too. I don’t think the refs changed the game outright. Just stating that calls go against the Pats too. They just aren’t penalized as much because of their style of play.
As for the aggressiveness of Pederson - I said holy shit about 5 times during that game because of gutsy calls. When you make calls like that and they all pay off... you deserve to win. And again, I think they executed better than the Pats.
What the fuck is with BB getting rid of good players? His pride annoys the fuck out of me, always has. Welker comes to mind. So fucking stupid to get rid of Blount.
Yeah... Sometimes I get it... in the case of Blount and Butler.... naaaah. Makes no sense. Blount only made 1.25 mill last year with the Eagles. Not sure what he was asking for with the Pats, but that seems reasonable to me.
Fuck the Patriots and their fans. Good job Eagles.
AFO i quoted wrong post, but oh well. 2 questionable TDs? I'll give you the first one, but the 2nd one where Ertz popped out and he caught it by no means was an incomplete pass. He was clearly a "runner" and the fact collingsworth was going on and on about it being incomplete BAFFLES me. The announcers were so anti Eagles we ended up muting until commercials lol. Overall it was a great game. A few missed calls on both sides, but I don't think they cost either team the game. Both teams defenses played like shit til Graham stepped up for Eagles.
That was the first time in several years that I went to bed happy after a superbowl.
There are lots of "hot takes" around today but for my money this is the best one.

Questionable calls in the sense of the current rules, what has been overturned in the past, and that they both had to be reviewed for an extended period of time. I don't think there was enough evidence in either case to overturn the calls. If you read the post again you can see that the point I was making is that the refs are not "Pro-Patriots."
I don't think you can use one game to justify that argument. I think they get more favorable calls than your average team, but I think it's based on expectation (good teams do well), not some paying the refs conspiracy. That's my opinion though - I don't expect to change yours. For what it's worth, I think Green Bay gets the most favorable treatment.
BTW I think the Corey Clement TD had enough evidence to overturn. He had 2 feet in while the ball was moving, and he gained possession just as his right foot left the ground, which never re-established in bounds. Zach Ertz's touchdown was a no-brainer IMO - he already maintained possession of the ball through the catch, so losing control after he crossed the goal line is irrelevant.
Yeah, the 1rst one was a very close call but I expected it to be overturned. He didn't maintain possession until he was already out of bounds.
2nd one was a clear TD and I'm surprised there could be any controversy about it, I say that as a huge Pats dan.
Hi haters.
BTW - fuck the NFL Shop.
Wanted to get the gf a jersey for the game. Ordered it on Tuesday 1/30. I got her a wentz jersey, they had two different ones available to order. The standard jersey and a "special event item" that was guaranteed to ship by 1/31.
I assumed this meant, they had as many of these in stock as they had online and when they sold out, they would sell the regular jerseys with no guarantee it would get there in time. Makes sense right?
So I order the special event one AND i paid an extra $20 to have it shipped in 2 business days.
Thursday comes around, the day I should have maybe received the jersey.. and i have no email even saying it's shipped, I contact support. They say sorry but it's delayed, you should have gotten an email (i didn't). It will now be delivered Saturday with special Saturday delivery. She says to me "we have upgraded your shipping to Saturday shipping at no cost to you" like the bitch is doing me a favor. I said "um, no, you didn't upgrade me to anything. I paid $20 for 2 day shipping, you are shipping it on Thurs to arrive Sat, that's 2 day shipping, which is what I already p aid for.
The bitch then gets smart with me. She says "The delivery date was upgraded to Saturday by the warehouse, did you not see what I wrote?"
I kind of just stared at it for a minute.. I reminded her that I was a paying customer and not to get smart with me. Ship my jersey as promised and refund my shipping costs. She did and I exited the chat.
Friday comes, still no email for shipping. I figure I pissed off the wrong little fuck face at NFL shop and they fucked with my order. So I call this time and talk to a nice woman who says yes, its still shipping out guaranteed Saturday. Night comes, nothing, I call again, get promised its coming.
Saturday comes and goes, no jersey. Sunday comes and goes, no email. Eagles win the super bowl.
Monday morning.. I get an email from NFL SHOP letting me know that my order will be delayed.
Called there today, got my refund, told them I would never spend money there again, birdgang, exited chat.
End of the world? No. Horrible business? Yep. Fuck em.
i agree - fuck the nflshop
i went there today and it was all eagles on the front page, exited the chat.
i lov eyou bdog
