49ers have over half of their team on IR and their season is well over, so at this point I wouldn't mind seeing the Packers win it all. Aaron Rodgers is from Chico, CA and played in college for California...

I have heard of worse reasons to root for someone.

What is a harder theoretical path to the suberbowl:

    A) having to beat the Steelers and Chiefs in away games for AFC
    B) having to beat Packers and Seahawks in away games for NFC

    Steelers and Chiefs.
Seahawks are in a tough division but have an easy schedule. After the rematch with AZ I think we go Eagles, Giants, Jets, Washington. We’re good but they might actually get to 12 wins and that record would be deceiving. Seattle has major problems on defense and that’s healthy.
Green Bay is very good but they’ve looked like shit a couple of times too. And we all know if Rogers isn’t perfect in the playoffs, they lose. And occasionally he’s not perfect.
The Steelers are flat better than either Seattle or GB and I still think KC is the best team in the league.

I agree, Hugh. There's no way I want to play in Pittsburgh in January.

What's scary though is even if he isn't, if Mason Rudolph could manage anywhere in the ballpark of 20-27 points, they'll probably end up winning. No team so far this year has hung 30 on em yet.

Definitely not. That’s the other thing. Pitt/KC homefield advantage has to be better than GB/Seattle this year if for no other reason than Seattle hasn’t had fans in the stadium at all. I don’t think that’s going to change.
